Notwithstanding all the prevention and control mechanisms put in place and the cross-cutting compliance concerns that are in force and constantly being updated, no organisation is immune to the risk of unlawful activities occurring which, if not promptly identified, may seriously harm not only the organisation and any individuals involved, but also the public interest itself.
This is particularly the case with behaviour that may jeopardise the environment, public health, public safety, consumer rights, which jeopardise the protection of individuals’ privacy and network security, or which constitute a misuse of public funds, money laundering or violent and organised crime.
People who work for organisations or who have professional dealings with them are often the first to detect the existence of unlawful activities, or at least to suspect that such activities may be taking place.
It is important that these people feel encouraged to report such situations without fear of any form of reprisal.
In pursuit of this objective and in compliance with the provisions of Law No. 93/2021 of 20 December, the various entities and institutions that form part of Inoxantua – Instalações em Inox, Lda. have established internal channels for reporting breaches, encouraging anyone who becomes aware of irregularities in the course of their professional relationship with any entity or institution within the Group to report such situations, which would otherwise go undetected.
